From puppy training to dog aggression.

Welcome,
My name is Adrian Kollnberger MCFBA , MGODT and along with Tasha Collier MGODT I run ABC For Dogs. As both dog behaviourists and dog trainers covering the whole of Kent and the South East our aim is to support owners and their dogs to enjoy better relationships by improving their dog behaviour and dog training problems with a calm approach and positive training.
Dog behaviour and dog training are diverse subjects and as a result we encourage you to contact us directly without any obligation for a relaxed conversation about your dog and any concerns or problems that you may be experiencing. We can help you with a broad range of dog behaviour problems and training issues: from getting started with Puppy Socialisation classes, Dog Obedience Training, introducing a rescue dog to your home to cases of severe dog aggression.
Here are some of the many areas we can help you with:
Puppy Training - In our puppy training or puppy socialisation classes we start you and your new dog in the right direction by following the Kennel Club Good Citizen scheme puppy foundation course. Designed for dogs up to 6 months old we concentrate on structured socialisation, basic dog obedience, fun and games and endeavour to help you with any behaviour problems you have along the way.
Older dog training Classes- As we work mainly with family pets, we really want all the dogs we are involved with to be happy, well behaved members of society who can go anywhere with their families. Our classes follow the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme (Bronze, Silver and Gold Standards) and we pride ourselves on running the classes in a relaxed and fun atmosphere for both dog and their owners. (read more about the Kennel Club good Citizen Scheme). If you fancy doing something different and fun with your dog maybe having a go at one of our Dog Agility classes could be for you. Held every second Saturday we have a full range of Agility equipment and the classes are designed around increasing the bond between you and your dog along with supplying an enjoyable experience for both dog and owner.
All of of our dog training classes are held at a venue with both inside and outside facilities so come rain or shine we run our dog training classes and puppy training.
One to one Dog Obedience Training- If you feel that classes are not for you we can also offer one to one dog training sessions to help you with any obedience issues ranging from pulling on the lead to recall problems.
Dog Behaviour problems- As qualified dog behaviourists we combine our extensive dog training experience with our knowledge of dog behaviour to help owners and their dogs to overcome any of the following issues:
Nervous aggression/dominant aggression.
Nervous behaviour, fears and phobias.
Dog to dog/dog to people aggression.
Excessive Barking/digging problems.
Biting/nipping/jumping up problems.
Puppy visits and related issues.
Chewing/destructive behaviour.
Over excitement with visitors.
Safe Practice with children.
Pack leadership issues.
Toilet training problems.
Car travel problems.
Seperation anxiety.
These problems are solved on a one to one basis when we attend your home and design a structured dog behaviour reformation programme specifically for you and your dog. We also supply a free telephone/email/skype back up dog trainer and dog behaviour service to supplement your dog training/dog behaviour problem programme.
As a full member of the CFBA I am recognised by Pet Insurance companies as a dog trainer and dog behaviourist to accept vet referrals for behavioural issues. If ,for example, you are insured with Pet Plan, M&S, Pet Protect and others , you will be able to claim back my fees, whereby all you will have to pay is your excess. For further information please click here.
Please Note- We do not use checkchains, prong collars or electric collars in our work. There will be no shouting or aggressive handling of the dog....a calm approach will be maintained throughout.
In addition to this we adhere to the CFBA code of practice ( Read more about the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association ) and the rule and regulations of the Guild of Dog Trainers (Read more about the Guild of Dog Trainers).
Have a look at our testimonialsthat speak for themselves. We give full support to all our dog owners (behaviour or class) via email or phone at no extra cost.
